Welcome to Malcesine, a place where walks, nature and sport are at ease with local traditions

Malcesine, Monte Baldo and Lake Garda

Malcesine is a small medieval town surrounded by the mountains and water of Monte Baldo and Lake Garda. The historic town centre is up and downhill with small winding streets where you will find local businesses such as shops, bars, restaurants, wine bars, and ice cream parlours.
The spectacular Scaligeri Castle dominates the town with its towers visible from near and far.

A few metres from the centre of town you will find the Malcesine Monte Baldo Cable Car which takes you from the centre of town to the top of Monte Baldo at 1780 m.a.s.l. in a few minutes.

Baldo isn’t only about sport: you can try some typical mountain food, walk along the steep mountain ridges to the north and admire the beautiful surrounding countryside that you will see below you.

Lake Garda is Italy’s biggest lake: it’s an Alpine lake that feels Mediterranean. The Lake makes the winter chill less severe and makes the summer heat less oppressive.

The constant winds and the surrounding mountains make Lake Garda one of the most famous sports areas in the world.
You can go trekking, mountain biking or road biking. You can run, climb, parascend, sail, windsurf and kitesurf. You can try Stand Up Paddle which is the latest craze.

Malcesine is also about relaxation, nature and tradition.
It’s about filling your lungs full of fresh air and recharging your batteries.
We are sure that you will love it!
